Personal Trainer  Wellington

"Preserving independence & preventing Frailty"

I’m Lorena, a certified nutritionist and personal trainer in Wellington. I specialise in women’s strength training, helping clients build strong bones, resilience, and confidence.
My mission is simple: to get a barbell in every woman’s hands and empower people to take up space, beat frailty, and feel confident in their bodies. We’ve been fed the lie that dainty pink weights and the cardio room are where women belong, and I’m here to change that narrative. As a personal trainer, I create a space where women feel heard and supported, with consideration and care taken through every stage of life, including pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and beyond.
My personal training services are offered through ONI Personal Training Gym, where I work with clients on strength training, nutrition, and long term health.

Philosophy

Empathy - “the ability to understand” I know that mistakes happen, motivation dips, and life holds barriers. It is my job to be understanding and work through these dips without judgment, so you know you are always in a safe space.

Honesty - I do not promise any short cuts or quick fixes. What I do promise is to always provide the most up to date and science backed information. You deserve to know the truth about your health.

Accountability -  Making sustainable change can be hard when it comes to your exercise and nutrition, especially with the multitude of misinformation. That is why I am here, I will be with you every step of the way to educate you, to break through barriers and keep you accountable to achieve your exercise and nutrition goals.

The Personal Training Process

There is no one size fits all approach and with every individual I take care in creating a training experience that is sustainable for your life and goals, however here are some things to expect:

1. Initially we’ll undergo a free 30 minute consultation, where we’ll delve into a health screening, goals, barriers and history to make sure everything is customised to your exact needs.

2. Once we have booked your first session we’ll undergo a movement assessment, where we will look at your form, assess mobility limitations and better understand where your strengths and weaknesses are.

3. From the movement assessment I will build a customised exercise program that takes your movement assessment results in consideration.

4. We will then execute the exercise program together making sure to address technique, monitor intensity, all while having a laugh and working hard.

5. We’ll also have monthly check ins where we review your progress, take in feedback and make sure you are getting the most out of your training.
